Project Canoe

As a child, I attended summer camp in Haliburton, Ontario where I was introduced to canoe tripping and the outdoors. From my first trip to Algonquin Park I was hooked, and I have been tripping ever since. I recognize how fortunate I was to have been given the opportunity by my parents to return to camp year after year and visit the park several times a summer. Not only did I make lifelong friendships but my formative experiences through canoe tripping and being outdoors shaped who I am today.

While I am acutely aware of how important it is to introduce children to the outdoors, the reality is that many families face financial and logistical barriers which prohibit children from such experiences. Project Canoe is a registered charity that offers educational outdoor programming to Ontario youth with a focus on those who might otherwise miss out on the experiences of outdoor adventure as a result of systemic or mental health barriers.

Proceeds from GET OUTSIDE sales will be donated to Project Canoe.
